OUR STORY
Rooted in Faith, Growing in Purpose.
What began in 2004 as an intimate gathering in the living room of Minister Debra E. Morris and Brother Willie Morris has grown into a vibrant, spirit-led congregation. Following God’s call to open the doors of their home for worship, they welcomed their neighbors with faith, prayer, and warm fellowship.
As the gathering grew, God revealed the mission and name of our church: Church of the Living God, Inc. Over two decades, our journey has taken us from a home basement to meeting spaces across Westchester and Yonkers, expanding spiritually and numerically as we remain rooted in God’s Word and purpose.

OUR HISTORY
A Ministry Rooted in Prayer
The story of the Church of the Living God, Inc. is a testament to God's faithful provision through every season:
September 2004: Doors first opened for home worship in Senior Pastor Debra and Elder Emeritus Willie Morris's living room.
August-September 2005: State recognition was finalized, and the basement was converted into our first sanctuary.
March 2006: Moved services to the Hampton Inn in Elmsford, NY, to accommodate a growing congregation.
2008: Relocated fellowship to Allen AME Church on Fisher Ave in White Plains, NY.
Easter Sunday 2010: Moved to 1049 Yonkers Ave in Yonkers, NY, where our ministry continues to flourish.
Spiritual Growth: Established the Church of the Living God Bible Institute to deepen faith and equip leadership across congregations.

OUR COMMUNITY
Love Put into Action
We believe that true faith is expressed through loving service to our neighbors. Through our hands-on outreach ministries, Church of the Living God, Inc. actively serves Westchester County and beyond:
Nutritional & Bread Ministries: Distributing food and fresh bread weekly to local families in need.
Seasonal Outreaches: Hosting annual coat drives, Thanksgiving meals, and back-to-school clothing and supply drives for local elementary students.
Compassion in Action: Providing Christmas gifts through Operation Christmas for associate shelters and distributing Blessing Bags to support our unsheltered neighbors.
We are a church that strives to walk together in Christian love. We are disciples working together to further the kingdom.
